QnA

What profile does Nordic International School have?

Our schools have an international profile. We follow the Swedish curriculum, however certain parts of the education is taught in English led by staff with English as their native language. In addition to the Swedish curriculum, teaching is based on the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) which is a theme-based pedagogy that is used by schools all over the world, read more about IMYC here.

We believe in setting high standards of social order and discipline, frequent monitoring of student achievements and results and continuous performance reports to parents. Thus, ensuring that all students succeed in school in a manner that is positive and productive.

Do you have a policy for school uniforms at your schools?

Yes, we have a uniform policy for all students and dresscode for all staff. The reasons for this are several:

  • Strengthen the international atmosphere of our schools (uniforms are common in international schools).
  • Create a fellowship culture among the students.
  • Build a high ambition-focused culture at school.
  • Protect the sleeve around branded clothing.

At the start of every school year, we provide five clothes items to all students – shirt, cardigan, short sleeved pique and indoor shoes for use in school. The clothes are provided free of charge to all students.

What year classes are available at your schools?

Fully expanded, our schools will have grades 4-9.

Do you offer junior club?

If enough people request juniors club, then, it is offered to students in grades 4 and 5.
