Nordic International School Kalmar will open in August 2020
There has been a great interest for the planned start of Nordic International School in Kalmar. The school will open in August and will soon start with the admissions process. Kalmar will therefore get a new elementary school with an international profile with focus on order and teaching based on methods supported by rigorous research.
– We are very pleased to announce that we are starting the school in August. Since we received permission to start the school, the interest to join the school has been overwhelming, says Katharina Sjögren-Edström, CEO at Nordic International School.
In February, the school hosted an information evening about the school start-up, and 250 people attended the event. The school currently has about 220 students in queue and the aim is to start at least one class per school grade in the grades 4-7. The school will offer years 4-9 in a couple of years.
Nordic International School runs Swedish elementary schools with an international profile in Karlstad, Norrköping and Trollhättan. We are a bilingualism school and focus on order as well as knowledge and academic progress. We also have a school uniform for students and a common dress code for staff.
The school will start with admissions during week 9 and will send admissions offers to guardians who have registered their children in the school queue through the school webpage. The Nisbeth House will be undergoing renovations before the school start in August.
Nordic International School will soon invite guardians and their children to an extra information evening which will take place during the spring.
