At Nordic International School AB we care about your privacy and because of that, we follow a data policy in accordance with the Genera Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Processing your personal information

Below you can read more about how we process your personal information. We want you to feel safe and secure in that we handle your personal data with care.

Why and for how long do you save my data?

We process data that has a common interest and that is needed for the company’s exercise of public authority. Personal information is never saved for a time longer than necessary for the purpose of processing the information. This entails that we save students’ personal information for their duration at one of our schools, guardians’ personal information during the time their child studies at one of our schools and employees personal information during their employment. We do this in order to give students and employees a personal, safe and high-quality education and employment with us.

In accordance with GDPR Article 17 personal information that is not permitted to be registered is deleted, archived or deactivated. An example of a scenario as such is in the event of a student not completing their studies or leaving their studies on an approved leave. Another example is when an employee ends their employment with us.

We also process personal information that has been given to us in mutual agreement during an Open House or another marketing event. We store this data for a maximum of 24 months and use it to send the person concerned information about us via email, text messages or phone calls.

Can I correct my details or be removed from your register?

You can contact us at all times via gdpr@nordicinternational.se if you have any questions about how we store your information. If you are registered in any of our companies you have, in accordance with GDPR, the right to:

…access your personal information.

…know how your personal information is processed and get access to that information.

…correct your personal information if incorrect.

…restrict the processing of your personal information.

…object to how your personal information is processed.

…ask that your personal information is deleted.

Will my personal information be given to anyone unauthorized?

No, we never give out personal information to anyone unauthorized. We do however give out personal information when necessary for the company’s exercise of public authority. Sometimes government bodies such as Skolinspektionen and SCB requests personal information.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies. A cookie is a text file that is saved in your browser when you connect to a website to remember you and your visit to that website. According to the Law (2003:389) about electronic communication, all visitors of a website should be informed what cookies are used for. More information can be found at the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority’s website.

We use cookies to improve your user experience at our websites. With the help of the analytic services of Strategic Audience Map and Google Analytics we monitor the traffic at our websites and record statistics. We also sometimes show you personalized advertisements based on websites you have previously visited or what you have previously searched for. We do that with the help of both Strategic Audience Map and Google Adwords.

You can easily turn cookies off for all websites you visit by going to your browser’s settings.
